How Casuarina Found Its Purpose
Casuarina Resort Park began with a simple idea. In 2010, the founders of Gangotree Homes, Rajendra Awate and Ganesh Jadhav, acquired land in Kurunji-Male near Bhor, drawn by the dramatic landscape of the Sahyadris, the views of Rajgad Fort, and the serenity of the surrounding water bodies. What started as a second-home development gradually transformed into something much more meaningful.
A Place Born Out of Love for the Western Ghats
Gangotree Homes, a Pune-based real estate company with a strong presence in residential, commercial and redevelopment projects, envisioned Casuarina as its flagship countryside initiative. The intention was never merely to create plots and homes. The larger aspiration was to build a place that people would continue to visit, enjoy and care for over generations.
From Second Homes to a Living Community
As families began building homes here, a vibrant community started taking shape. Over time, it became evident that preserving the spirit of the place required active engagement and shared experiences. This led to the creation of Casuarina Resort Park in 2017.Today, many homeowners voluntarily partner with Gangotree Homes by making their villas available for hospitality, allowing more people to experience the beauty of this region.
Growing Without Losing the Essence
Spread across nearly 100 acres, Casuarina has grown into a thriving community of nature residences and more than 100 families. The resort today welcomes families, corporate groups and celebration events, with accommodation for up to 150 guests.Facilities such as the swimming pool, clubhouse, conference hall and recreational spaces have been added over the years, always with the intention of enhancing the experience without disturbing the essence of the place.
